Planned Parenthood endorses Hillary Clinton

Planned Parenthood, the influential United States women's health care provider savaged by anti-abortion Republicans who want to shut it down, said Thursday it was backing Hillary Clinton for president. The organization went on to list specific reasons for their choice, describing Clinton as being "in Planned Parenthood's corner more than any other presidential candidate". The organization revealed today that it would back Hillary Clinton for president, cheering her support for women's healthcare in a political environment that has become increasingly hostile toward it.

"As a lifelong Planned Parenthood supporter, I'm honored to have the endorsement of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund", Clinton said in a statement.

"I will defend a woman's right to choose, and I will defend planned parenthood", Clinton has said in her stump speech on the campaign trail.

Democratic presidential candidate and former secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that President Barack Obama called her when negotiators had reached a deal on Iran's nuclear program.

Planned Parenthood knows it, which is why it plans to spend at least $20 million in this election cycle on the presidential race and in key Senate contests. "Health care for an entire generation is at stake".

According to a New York Times-CBS News poll from September 2015, 60 percent of female voters believe Planned Parenthood should receive federal funding. Its early endorsement of Clinton will effectively mobilize supporters - and millions of dollars - nationwide for her candidacy.

"Today and every day, we #StandWithPP", she tweeted on the day of the shooting.

In its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood said its affiliates performed 323,999 abortion procedures in fiscal 2014 (which ended on September 30, 2014).
