Ted Cruz says he will vote for Donald Trump

Ted Cruz Announces He'll Vote for Trump

On Monday, the on-air trio did just that.

After Trump won the party's nomination, Cruz refused to endorse him at the Republican National Convention in July.

Of course, it's unclear why this would make a difference if Trump really is a "pathological liar", as Cruz has claimed in the past.

Glenn Beck speaks to Texas GOP Sen.

And Steve Deace, a conservative radio show host in Iowa and a prominent Cruz backer, blasted Cruz on Twitter.

Cruz then took a swipe at Politico, calling the story Beck referenced a "hit piece" from a "left-wing rag".

Cruz completely dodged this question and tried to reiterate that this election was a binary choice.

The endorsement may also be calculated to help Cruz's chances for reelection in 2018.

"I am greatly honoured by the endorsement of Senator Cruz", Trump said Friday.

"I don't believe I could in good conscience look my kids in the eyes and say I sat by" and let Clinton win, Cruz said. This is about principles and ideas.' That's the test I'm applying. That's the test I'm applying.

Earlier this week, Republican National Committee (RNC) chair Reince Priebus told CBS' "Face the Nation" that the party could penalize those former GOP candidates who didn't support Trump. During his interview with Beck, Cruz continued to dodge the line of questioning.

But he added that he is now backing Trump because, "By any measure, Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president". Beck was ready for this answer, however, and pounced. Meanwhile, a new ad released by the Clinton campaign features young girls feeling insulted by a series of statements by Mr. Trump and asks, "Is this the President we want for our daughters?"

Cruz endorsing Trump are not completely surprising, in the last few weeks Mike Pence who is Trump's vice presidential nominee started to exchange communications with Ted Cruz and even met at Capitol Hill.

Beck said that if he lost his entire company and wound up in jail, he would trust that divine providence would ensure that he still had a voice because even "Nelson Mandela had a voice because he was in jail". He's now not a sociopathic liar? "We are only one justice away from losing our most basic rights, and the next president will appoint as many as four new justices", he says. "I have been very clear that I have significant disagreements with him". And everyone knows that when you are backed in a corner you roll over and play dead.

He responded Monday saying, "For the very first time I heard Ted Cruz calculate, and when that happened, the whole thing fell apart for me". "It's my fault for believing that men can be George Washington".
