Akrapovic Exhausts Available As Honda Genuine Accessories

Slip-On Street Legal Exhaust System for the Honda CBR 1000 RR

Honda have, finally, made Akrapovic exhausts available on some of the more ‘sportier’ models available through Honda motorcycle dealers.

Honda say they asked consumers what the first thing they tended to do after purchasing a bike was, with most respondents saying replace the exhaust with Akrapovic cans.

And so, Honda are now offering the Slovenian manufacturer’s exhausts as a ‘Honda Genuine’ accessory for the first time on the CBR1000RR Fireblade, CBR600RR and CB1000R motorcycles.

Honda say they plan to expand the range to include the CB600F Hornet and the CBR600F due in April.

Prices for the exhausts range from £628 to £978.

Each slip-on exhaust system is available in titanium and, as a Honda Genuine Accessory, you get a two-year warranty regardless of when you purchase the exhaust.

Honda first started using Akrapovic in 1999 when the original Castrol Honda World Superbike team started using them, eventually leading to them winning the championship title just one year later with the Honda SP-1 and Colin Edwards.
