Benelli Sole administrator Mrs Yan Haimei was interviewed by journalist Alan Catchcart back in September this year (2011) at the Benelli Centenary celebrations.
Since the interview it appears that there has been some confusion around when the new Benelli DUE will actually be available.
Now Benelli have released a statement to clarify the position. The motorcycle will not be available at the end of 2011 but is in fact due at the end of 2012.
As Benelli’s Sole Administrator affirms in the complete interview of Alan Catchcart: “The current version of the “DUE” will be produced in Italy and exported to China and the emerging global markets (without neglecting the European market). We are also working on a new design of this model that will be later introduced in the European markets”.
