Danny Buchan To Ride European Superstock For Go Eleven Kawasaki

Danny Buchan - Brands Hatch 2011

Danny Buchan will race in the European Superstock 1000cc class alongside the World Superbike series but with a continued priority to try and win the UK National Superstock Championship for MSS Colchester Kawasaki and Team Green.

Eighteen year old Danny will race a similar Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in both series but will ride in the colours of the Italian Go Eleven squad in the Euro rounds. Danny will ironically be joining fellow MSS rider Alex Lowes who will be riding in WSB at the next round in Brno, Czechoslovakia, on 10th July.

With just one date clash between the two series and Danny holding a very close second in the National Superstock Championship, the young rider from Essex will drop a Euro round to concentrate on domestic honours.

The Go Eleven team are a high level squad originally founder by among others Ruben Xaus, with the aim of bringing on young, talented riders. Team manager Dennis Sacchetti first saw Danny at last year’s World Superbike round in Silverstone, where the Superstock 600 race supported the WSB regulars, tracking his progress ever since.

The opportunity has come at a staggering speed for Danny after his first foray with Team Green and MSS Colchester Kawasaki in Superstock 600 last year and a dream debut in the Superstock 1000cc class with an opening win, just a few months ago.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity to learn new tracks, work with a foreign crew and be part of the World Superbike series. It will be interesting to see how well we can do as I don’t want to go there and just wally around at the back. Obviously they are new tracks but with Playstation, You Tube and a bit of determination, we should get the hang of it! Massive thanks to Nick for allowing me to do this hopefully I can do the squad and Team Green proud.”

Team owner Nick Morgan
“Danny is a talented lad and it’s flattering to all concerned that he’s been picked to ride in a WSB class so soon. Doing well is a double edged sword as that’s obviously what we’re here for but your riders then get noticed and potentially poached! The good news is its all part of the Kawasaki family and Danny will still be concentrating on the Superstock series over here in the UK.”

Gianni Ramello team owner Go Eleven
”I’m proud and very happy to announce that Danny Buchan will be part of our line up for this second part of the season. We are an ambitious team, and we do our best to take important results, hopefully taking the first Kawasaki ZX10R podium. I also want to say thanks to Nick Morgan owner of MSS Colchester Kawasaki to permit Danny to take part in FIM STK 1000 with our team. I think that this experience will be useful also for the second part of the British championship”
