Team Effenbert Liberty finished in 4th place in the team classification in the 2011 World Superbike Championship with riders Sylvain Guintoli and Jakub Smrz.
Both riders have already re-signed to the Czech team for 2012 and now they have announced their latest addition with Frenchman Maxime Berger.
Berger was twice on the podium in the FIM Superstock 1000 and finished in 16th place, behind Troy Corser, on his debut WSBK season last year on board the Ducati 1098 of the Supersonic Team.
Berger was invited to test the Liberty Ducati in October in Portimao and the team say he performed well and they’re confident he can be a contender next season.
Maxime Berger
“I am honored by the confidence that the Effenbert Liberty Racing Team has given welcoming me within their highly professional structure. I know I can count on the all team, with whom I had the pleasure of participating to a private test on the Tuesday following the races in Portimao. I appreciate the welcome that they reserved me and I am very proud to have the possibility to honor the team’s colors in 2012. They can count on my professionalism, my motivation and the desire to honor my commitment to carry the colours as higher as possible. My second season on a Ducati Superbike will be for me the opportunity to fully take advantage of the bike qualities and I have no doubts that the work that we will be undertaking will soon bring its results. Rendezvous for everyone in 2012! “
