Rain Keeps Bikes Under Cover At Macau

The only kind of bikes seen at Macau today

A soaking wet track after persistent rain overnight at Macau prevented any chance of the postponed qualifying session taking place at Macau today. The problem has been exacerbated by humidity of 83 percent which left damp patches on the circuit through to late afternoon.

The organisers have provisionally extended what was intended to be a morning warm-up into a 45 minute qualifying session, starting at 7:15am. The race is still due to start at 3:30pm

The paddock is not hopeful that the bikes will be able to run in the early morning, as any overnight rain from the gloomy Macanese skies will not give the surface a chance to dry in time.
