A bond of mutual respect formed over the past seven years has led leading Italian snack company San Carlo to reaffirm its commitment to Fausto Gresini’s team and riders for another season.
San Carlo, a market leader in chips and snacks, has decided to continue its adventure with Fausto Gresini and Marco Simoncelli next season and will again associate its brand to the Honda Gresini team as title sponsor.
As in previous years the team will be called SAN CARLO HONDA Gresini and the San Carlo colours, so recognizable and so strong in the Italian national psyche, will breathe life into Fausto Gresini’s team both on and off the track around the whole world.
As always the riders, in particular the ever popular Simoncelli, will be the main focus of a series of marketing activities for San Carlo snacks. Their images will be displayed on sales points and in many other initiatives that will take shape next season.
“Fausto Gresini, his team and the San Carlo brand are linked by a deep mutual respect for the professionalism and passion that employees and riders bring to their work and to every challenge,” said San Carlo President Alberto Vitaloni. “For this reason we have decided to support them for a seventh consecutive year. I believe that in a moment like this are companies like ours have to give a strong signal to the market, to believe in their own history and its continuity. In 2011 San Carlo turned 75 and it is a family business. We have many similarities to the Gresini staff and riders in terms of our philosophy and character, in having the courage to make radical decisions, to go against the grain, in the tenacity to never give up when faced with difficulties and challenges and the creativity to invent something new to achieve our goals. It will be an intense season and there will be a lot of emotion, we’re sure about that.”
