Focused Events are offering novice trackday riders a double first on August 5th – the chance to take to the circuit for the first time and also be one of the first to ride the UK’s newest circuit – Blyton Park Raceway. In a separate initiative Focused are also offering “Trackdays for a Pound” to their registered customers with events flagging up at just one pound on their website.
Situated just outside Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, Blyton Park Raceway only recently opened its doors and Focused Events will exclusively be the only track day company to offer the opportunity to ride the circuit. The track consists of 1.6 miles of brand new tarmac and has been designed with the input of some of the UK’s top racers, to create a challenging and varied layout that combines slow and high speed corners as well as wide run-off areas with no solid barriers, making it an idea track for novices. Corners include such memorable names as The Wiggler, The Ump and Bunga Bunga!
Focused Events are committed to offering novice riders the opportunity to enjoy their first trackday, or simply gain more confidence if they have been on track before, in as safe and non-intimidating environment as possible. As well as close supervision from a team of advanced instructors, the emphasis of the day will be on circuit awareness and confidence, allowing the riders to circulate with other trackday novices riding at similar speeds. With only 20 riders per group, it’s a perfect stress-free way of enjoying your first trackday.
To further ease novices’ concerns, Focused Events are offering them an incredible line up of machinery for hire, all with expert guidance on hand. For just £199, riders can take to the track on one of the latest Supersport machines with a choice of the new Suzuki GSX-R600, Ducati 848/848 Evo, Kawasaki ZX-6R, Triumph Daytona 675/675R models or the Yamaha YZF-R6. Should they wish to ride their own bikes the trackday costs just £89.
Designed to enhance the confidence of new trackday riders, the Novice Days will ensure that the first step onto a racetrack is a comfortable one. The Novice Day at Blyton Park is on Friday August 8th 2011 and costs £89 or £199 with the hire of a Supersport bike included.
