Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan Ring in 2016: The Ram Report

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2016 Preview

The Bravo host officiates as celebrities participate in "hilarouious" New Year's Eve-themed party games. Going Seacrest once again with live reporting on the streets of Time Square is actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy for the fifth year in a row.

Fox News Channel presents "Countdown to 2016" at 9 p.m. Kimberly Guilfoyle and Eric Bolling host "All-American New Year" from 10 p.m.to 12:30 a.m. Presidential candidate Donald Trump joins the telecast close to midnight from Florida.

While getting out and joining the crowds for New Year's Eve can be exciting, hanging out at home and taking in the celebration from afar also has some appeal. This year's lineup includes Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, and Demi Lovato all taking the stage in Times Square.

Unfortunately, when the ball dropped to usher in the year 2012, no one knew that it would be the last time the iconic former host of "American Bandstand" would be there to do the honors.

Then there's CNN, who is presently being coy about its plans for the big night, though one hopes the news network will continue its tradition of trotting out Kathy Griffin to annoy Anderson Cooper.

"It's been an incredible year for us and we can't wait to ring in the New Year with all our fans on New Year's Rockin' Eve", said band when it was announced they'd be performing.

The end of 2015 and the start of 2016 will be captured in ABC's 43rd Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest. If all that isn't enough, the festivities will also include the world premiere of Taylor Swift's new music video for "Out Of The Woods".

So happy 43rd birthday, New Year's Rockin' Eve!
