Sarah Palin: Trump 'would let our warriors do their job'

A feisty Sarah Palin came out swinging in Ames on Tuesday as she endorsed Donald Trump for president.

During Trump's speech, about 20 protesters were escorted out for yelling, "a vote for Trump is a vote for hate".

Palin is expected to join Trump at two campaign events Wednesday, including a rally in Tulsa, Okla.

Track allegedly cocked the weapon and menaced the girlfriend by asking, "Do you think I'm a p-ssy?" and "Do you think I won't do it?" documents said.

In a Fox News interview last August, Palin commended Trump's immigration policy as "common sense" and, in a Facebook post in December, she praised Trump's proposed ban on Muslims entering the U.S.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump received a key endorsement Tuesday from conservative heavyweight Sarah Palin.

While Trump insisted he hasn't considered vice presidential candidates yet, he said he doubts Palin would be interested because "she's been through that", referring to her role as the 2008 running mate of Sen.

Palin, who resigned as governor halfway through her term in 2009, had been keeping a low-profile in the 2016 race, but retains a following, even a star quality among some conservative Republicans.

Meanwhile, Cruz's camp was initially dismissive of Palin's endorsement of Trump.

Trump was equally jubilant with the endorsement from Palin.

"I always liked Sarah Palin".

The February 1 caucuses are a must-win for the Texas senator, who is running neck-and-neck with Trump in state polls.

Trump himself said he was "honored". Mr Trump said he was "greatly honoured" to receive her endorsement, adding: "She is a friend, and a high-quality person whom I have great respect for". "I like people who weren't captured, ok", said Trump. "But here in New Hampshire, they're a lot more interested in the mayor of a small town here than they are somebody who comes from the outside". "Sarah Palin's support is a testament to my message to "Make America Great Again", he said.

But his spokesman Rick Tyler told CNN's New Day programme that he would be "deeply disappointed" if she backed Mr Trump.
