The seventh installment of "The Walking Dead" is set to debut on October 23 on AMC.
The teaser features Jeffrey Dean Morgan's nefarious Negan carrying and swinging his baseball bat, Lucille.
And now just four weeks until season seven hit screens, show bosses have teased what's to come in a new trailer - while keeping the identify of Negan's victim firmly under wraps.
"Things have changed", Negan uttered. The posters are a direct representation of how Rick and his gang are about to pay the price for crossing the group of Negan. Khary Payton has also joined in the role of King Ezekiel, while Season 7 has gone to great lengths to hide Negan's final victim, shooting death scenes with all of the main cast. "And it's that moment that launches our entire Season 7 into that direction". "You earn what you take".
Of course, Greg Nicotero's mention of "deaths" in his chat with EW could be no more than a transcription error in the interview or an innocent turn of phrase that happened to be plural. "You should know, this is the only way", he says with a sickening smirk. We won't name the characters here, but you can check out this article to learn more about the theory.
AMC also recently released a set of photos highlighting Negan's appearances in the upcoming season, while another recent look at season 7 focused on one of Negan's Saviors, Dwight.
After The Walking Dead ended on that controversial cliffhanger, everyone had their theories about which character met Lucille.
