The young critic has since deleted his post, and written an apology, which reads: "amyschumer I truly apologize". And let this be a lesson that making sexist jokes at someone's expense - even if they're a celebrity who you doubt would ever check their mentions on Twitter - shouldn't be tolerated.
Before the whole tweet-storm happened, Schumer was winning over the crowd in the auditorium, where she was honoured with the Critics' Choice MVP Award.
