Marvel and Netflix's next series 'Iron Fist' receives official release date

So far, the Marvel shows on Netflix have been received quite well. Today a short clip dropped revealing the TV series will hit Netflix on March 17, 2017.

No matter. The Marvel/Netflix train is going to keep on a-rollin' no matter what Twitter thinks, and here to remind us of that fact is a brand-new teaser for Iron Fist, a new Marvel series slated to premiere on Netflix next March. If you've already finished Luke Cage, good news.

Plot concept: Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. That just leaves one series left: Iron Fist.

"Luke Cage", the latest release, still has few numbers available, though Netflix servers were almost overwhelmed following its release, experiencing problems that Deadline writers Ross A. Lincoln and Dominic Patten "laid at the feet of the popularity of "Marvel's Luke Cage" this weekend".

Is it too early to ask for just another season of Daredevil and Jessica Jones instead?

Game of Thrones' Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) will play the hero Daniel Rand, a.k.a Iron Fist. It is unclear at this time whether he is using his kung-fu mastery or his "fiery Iron Fist" in this photo.

Iron Fist is the fourth television series coming out of Marvel and Netflix's partnership, which previously produced Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage.

Unless, of course, they exonerate Luke Cage off-screen and just drop him back in NY without any fanfare.
