London Bus Lane Scheme Still Causing Confusion

Mayor Boris Johnson’s pledge to allow motorcyclists to ride in the bus lanes within London is still causing issues.

We have received emails from motorcyclists outlining that they are still being caught out by the fact that it’s only TfL ‘Red Route’ bus lanes (and not actually all of them) that you are allowed to ride in.

The London Borough of Barnet seems to be the main council who are catching riders out. This story on MCN highlighted that not only are they catching riders out, but seem to be using it to make money as much as possible.

There seems to be a complete lack of desire on the part of the councils who are making money from this scheme to actually make riders aware that this scheme isn’t for all bus lanes.
