Loris Capirossi

We have only had two races so far this year so it is hard to say where we are at the moment, although I have really only done one because I only managed just over two laps at Jerez!

The day after the race in Jerez we had a test and it was really important for us as we were able to do lots of set-up testing on the bike and we improved a little bit. I am really interested in what we can do in the future, because the bike is already better than it was at the start of the year and I think we are in a good position to improve quite a bit more as the season goes on.

I have just been to Silverstone to do a PR event for the Grand Prix there next month. They have done a great job with the circuit and I cannot wait to ride there on my GSV-R. The layout is good and I think it will be a great spectacle for the fans as well. I have never raced at Silverstone so I am really looking forward to that; it is always good to come to new tracks and I am really looking forward to the race there next month.

Before we race at Silverstone I will be going to the Isle of Man for the TT races as a guest of Suzuki to help them celebrate 50 years in motorcycle racing. I am really honoured to be going and it will be great to do a lap of the circuit, but I won’t be trying to go as fast as the guys that race there. I am excited to see the racing because I have never been before, there are some very brave - if not a little crazy - guys racing out there and I can’t wait to see then going through the countryside at those speeds. It will also be awesome to see Cameron Donald riding my Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP bike around the course. This will be an amazing sight and sound for the fans and after spending time with Cameron recently I know he will put on a good show.
