Pope Benedict Ditches Pope Mobile For Ducati Multistrada

OK, so Pope Benedict XVI isn’t probably going to be riding round on these anytime soon (imagine seeing the pope getting his knee down on your local roundabout!). However, Ducati have delivered, for his own police force the Vatican gendarmerie, two custom built Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring bikes in the papal state color of yellow.

“We are honored to have had the opportunity to deliver the Holy Father the two Multistrada - commented Gabriele Del Torchio, Ducati Motor Holding President , after the ceremony - This meeting is for us, for all women and men working in Ducati of particular pride and confirmation of such efforts every day throughout the company . A symbolic gesture with which we want to witness the appreciation of all the Ducati to the Magisterium of the Pope, it obtains the message of hope and confidence addressed the world of work contained in the Encyclical ” Caritas in Veritate ” .
