Netflix Announces Marvel's Iron Fist Premiere Date; Shares First Photo

"Luke Cage", the latest release, still has few numbers available, though Netflix servers were almost overwhelmed following its release, experiencing problems that Deadline writers Ross A. Lincoln and Dominic Patten "laid at the feet of the popularity of "Marvel's Luke Cage" this weekend".

The time has come for Danny Rand's homecoming when "Marvel's Iron Fist" premieres exclusively on Netflix on March 17!

On the heels of the release of "Luke Cage", Netflix is back at it with the debut date for another new Marvel series, "Iron Fist". Watch the announcement video, and a first look, after the jump. However, unlike with other Marvel/Netflix shows, there was no cameo appearance by a future Marvel/Netflix hero in this one.

Is it too early to ask for just another season of Daredevil and Jessica Jones instead?

Marvel's Iron Fist is the fourth of four epic live-action adventure series on the streaming site. Still, he will get to go first in Marvel/Netflix's 2017 schedule, and even has the same release date online as Beauty and the Beast does in theaters. The series will reportedly begin with Rand returning to New York City after having been missing for years, where he'll (unsurprisingly) end up fighting corruption.

Feel the Living Weapon's presence exclusively on Netflix next spring!

And if you enjoyed the neo-blackspoitation approach to "Luke Cage", you'll no doubt enjoy "Iron Fist", which will likely also borrow a lot from classic kung-fu grindhouse flicks.
