Ducati Unveil Diavel At EICMA

Monday, November 1st, 2010

As you are probably aware by now (from our numerous stories, here, here, here oh and here), Ducati are about to unleash the devil onto the world!

The Diavel (means Devil in local Italian dialect) was unveiled at the EICMA show which is currently taking place in Milan, to a round of “ooohs”, “ahhs” and “what the?” (actually we’re just imagining that’s what was said given the reaction we’ve had to some of the photos).

Ducati describe the bike as “combining custom shop beauty with start of the art technology, innovative design to provide extraordinary riding pleasure”.

The engine is a more powerful version of the Testastretta 11º engine from the Mulstrada 1200 and Ducati have slapped a claimed 162bhp and weight of 456lb (207kg). This would be some pretty impressive performance in this class of machine.

The bike has Ride by wire throttle, ABS, hands free ignition, traction control and a 240mm rear wheel on a 8″ wide rim.

Red or pearl white colours are available whilst a Diavel Carbon, which includes carbon bodywork components and forged Marchesini rims, will be available in red or black carbon.
