Early Ducati Diavel Prototype Fully Revealed

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Our friends over at Ducati News Today have published these new photos, sent in by one of their readers, of the Ducati Diavel.

Due to be officially revealed next month at the Milan EICMA show, these pictures were taken nearly 18 months ago in Los Angeles as the bike was created up for a trip back to Europe.

According to DNT’s source, the motorcycle had been in the US to have a custom swing arm fitted.

The non-running prototype had only exhaust and headers fitted.

It’s interesting to see the comparison between these early shots and the most recent photos we’ve had of the Diavel. The headlight is smaller on this bike and a front mounted radiator is shrouded in mesh. The tail section is different and clearly has a single seat cover over the pillion pad. An Ohlins rear shock is in evidence. The blacked out engine based on the Testastretta 11º powerplant in the Multistrada 1200 is clearly on show and looks good!
