Husqvarna Strengthens Dealer And Customer Support In The UK
Saturday, August 28th, 2010From 1st September 2010 Husqvarna motorcycles will have the backing of a new sales and marketing company, HVUK Ltd, who will be coordinating operations and liaising between the factory and UK dealers. HVUK Ltd is headed by ex-Aprilia UK General Manager, Massimo Granata. Based near Gatwick, the new company has been established to take over from Husky Sport who handled the brand successfully in the UK for many years. Husky Sport will continue their relationship with Husqvarna as an authorised dealer as well as providing consultancy for the UK racing activities.
Husqvarna believes the UK market will play an important role in their overall European sales strategy and the establishment of HVUK Ltd shows a solid commitment to the UK and it is hoped will encourage more dealers and competitors to come on board with Husqvarna, making it easier for customers to find a dealer closer to home.
“I have already received calls from dealers expressing an interest in stocking the range, once we are up and running” said General Manager Massimo Granata. “It’s certainly encouraging to know that the new start has already made dealers pick up the phone and get in touch. With new models in both the MX and Enduro ranges for 2011, including the much anticipated TC 449 and TE 449/511 we’re really excited about the future.”
Since its acquisition by the BMW Group in 2007, Husqvarna Motorcycles has benefited from substantial investment by the German parent, including a complete new R&D facility and new production lines at the Varese factory in Italy, with increased productivity and improved build quality. Bikes and spare parts will be shipped direct to dealers from the factory in Italy, which is intended to reduce lead times and increase customer satisfaction. A dedicated team of professionals will assist Massimo with sales, marketing and PR, with a dedicated technical support line to be in place before the end of September.
“We aim to offer a standard of professionalism which is second to none”, said Massimo. “We have a budget to properly promote the brand with advertising and attending events such as the Dirt Bike Show, 4-7 November, which will be the first showing of our 2011 motocross and supermoto models. We intend to maximise on our relationship with the Husqvarna factory and forge a strong bridge between Italy, the UK dealers and our customers.”
