MotoGP Race Report & Result - Indianapolis 2010

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

The MotoGP guys took to the track in scorching temperatures for the Indianapolis race.

Ben Spies got a great start and kept the lead for the first few laps but Dani Pedrosa chipped away and chipped away before finally flying past down the straight.

Hayden had an awful start and slowly went backwards through the field, possibly down to troubles with his knee-slider hangin off. Team mate Casey Stoner, pushing hard to get past Rossi in 5th lost the front end and spun off the track.

At the front Pedrosa just kep pulling away from Spies in second. Dovizioso and Lorenzo took turns throughout the race to see who could scare themselves the most, running wide and saving high-sides before Lorenzo got past on the straight using the power of the Yamaha.

From there on in, other than Rossi oozing past Dovizioso, Pedrosa stayed out in front and just gapped and gapped and gapped, Spies held onto second, Lorenzo couldn’t seem to make up the time to Spies and settled for third with Rossi coming in for fourth.
