Arkham VR Main Story Is an Hour Long, Dev Says

Batman Return to Arkham

Batman: Arkham VR is now available for pre-order for £15.99 and for that you will get around two and a half hours of pretending to be the masked bat himself. We know that most VR games won't last too long and, accordingly, aren't priced as full releases. Even in the case of Batman: Arkham VR, one should not expect it a game that will keep you busy for weeks. This lines up with the "2-2.5 hours of content" that was teased at E3 in June, adding up perfectly to that upper amount.

Additionally, considering virtual reality is a far different experience than traditional gaming, it's possible players may not want much more than that as they enter the world of virtual reality.

"The core narrative is about 60 minutes in duration", Ginn tells PressStart, "however additional content is unlocked that provides about another 90 minutes of gameplay on top of that".

Batman: Arkham VR brings Batman back to after Arkham Knight. The list of PlayStation VR launch titles doesn't look that exciting outside of Batman: Arkham VR and maybe Rez Infinite, and we've still yet to see how those games will turn out. The game will take moments from comics and blend it with the thrilling experiences the Arkham games are known for. Hopefully whichever developer picks up the baton from here will carry forward with stories and experiences that are just as compelling, immersive, and intriguing as those provided by Rocksteady.

Batman: Arkham VR will appear on 13 October 2016 and will be available for Sony's VR headset for 6 months exclusively.
