Marvel's Iron Fist: Netflix Announces March Debut Date for Superhero Series

Netflix announced today the premiere date and released first look image for their original series Marvel's Iron Fist. According to this new video from Netflix (with an h/t to Vulture), we'll get to watch the show on March 17, 2017. But will he be back in time for "Iron Fist?". Like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, Iron Fist goes with the local approach of guarding a small neighborhood in Manhattan instead of trying to protect the entire world.

We have to ask if Netflix purposefully left it for last.

Iron Fist will star Danny Rand, made popular from his role on HBO's "Game of Thrones" series. Now, instead of just staring at your blank screen, you can mark the Iron Fist premiere date in your calendar and twiddle your thumbs until March of next year.

Iron Fist follows the trials and tribulations of Billionaire Buddist Monk Danny Rand as he returns to NY and uses Kung Fu and the powers of the Iron Fist to fight corruption.

Netflix is getting another superhero. If you've already finished Luke Cage, good news.

Iron Fist will likely also lead directly into The Defenders, the small-screen and TV-MA rated version of The Avengers, in that it's a team-up between a bunch of heroes. The deal kicked off with the launch of Daredevil starring Charlie Cox followed by Jessica Jones with Krysten Ritter and Luke Cage starring Mike Colter.

Unless, of course, they exonerate Luke Cage off-screen and just drop him back in NY without any fanfare.
