Triumph Motorcycles has announced celebrated Brit rockers Reef as the second headline act for this year’s ‘Triumph Live’ festival, a three-day celebration for fans of the iconic motorcycle brand.
The band will take to the stage on Friday August 31, 2012 to round off a packed day of entertainment, track action and live music. The event, which is being held at Mallory Park Circuit, Leicestershire, 31 August – 2 September 2012 celebrates 110 years of the British motorcycle manufacturer’s history and is open to riders of all marques, music fans and families alike.
Visitors to the festival, which is expected to attract up to 15,000 fans, will be treated to a live set from Reef, featuring some of their best known tracks including ‘Place Your Hands’, ‘Come Back Brighter’ and ‘Naked’. Fans of the Triumph brand, Reef are no strangers to playing at festivals with numerous appearances at events such as Glastonbury and Reading under their belts since forming twenty years ago.
Given the huge success of the inaugural Triumph Live event in 2010, the Hinckley-based manufacturer has extended the celebration from one to three days to include live bands; stunt riding shows; championship racing from the Triumph Triple Challenge race series; factory tours; road, track and off-road demo rides; plus a host of other displays and attractions.
Visitors will be able to view the latest range of Triumph motorcycles together with a selection of some of the UK’s best customised Triumphs. Key bikes from Triumph’s history will also be on display, as part of a unique exhibition exploring the 110 year anniversary. Those looking to kit themselves out with top quality riding apparel need look no further than the Triumph Clothing Megastore, where there the full range of Triumph accessories and clothing will be available.
UK general manager of Triumph Motorcycles, Guy Masters, said: “We are over the moon that Reef will be joining us at Triumph Live this year to perform on the Friday night. The guys are sure to kick off the music element of the event in style. We were bowled over by the reaction to the 2010 event and we are determined to make 2012 an even better weekend of entertainment for riders, music lovers and their families alike.”
