Six of Britain’s finest up and coming rock bands have taken one step closer to supporting BRIT award-winning, Kaiser Chiefs at Triumph Live 2012.
Following thousands of votes from music fans across the country the six acts, Leicester’s Formal Warning, Blind Obedience from Derby, Boundary, Coventry, Feedback Voice, Hinckley, Leeds’ City of Lights and The Reads from the North West, will now play in the final of the Triumph Live 2012 Band Battle, which takes place this Friday at the Triumph factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The top three bands from the final will then go on to play at this summer’s Triumph Live festival.
Triumph Live, which takes place at Mallory Park, Leicestershire from 31 August – 2 September, is the world’s largest event devoted to Britain’s biggest and most iconic motorcycle manufacturer. The Band Battle competition offers a unique opportunity for the winning acts to support Kaiser Chiefs on Saturday September 2, in front of more than 10,000 fans.
Triumph Live’s music programme will be hosted by moustached comedian, Rufus Hound and will see performances from not only the Kaiser Chiefs, but also brit-rockers Reef, who will be headlining on the Friday night.
Visitors to Triumph Live will also be treated to performances from a host of other live bands; championship racing from the Triumph Triple Challenge race series; factory tours; road, track and off-road demo rides; plus an eclectic mix of other displays, activities and attractions. MotoGP commentating legend Steve Parrish will host the daytime activities from the paddock stage.
Fans will be able to view the latest range of Triumph motorcycles together with a selection of some of the UK’s best customised Triumphs. Key bikes from Triumph’s history will also be on display, as part of a unique exhibition exploring the 110 year anniversary of this great British brand, while those looking to kit themselves out with top quality riding apparel need look no further than the Triumph Clothing Megastore.
