Open weekends, for those that haven’t been to one before, are basically like large bike meets only they take place in the car park of a large motorcycle store rather than just a large car park!
This particular event was at On Yer Bike Aylesbury as they showed off their range of Ducati’s, Aprilia’s, Kawasaki’s and more.
Tommy Hill was in attendance, see the video interview here, talking about all things British Superbike, his desire to hold onto the championship and his team mate Noriyuki Haga.
Extreme Wheelie also brought their toy giving punters the chance to try and keep a Repsol Honda’s front wheel in the air for as long as possible, 10 seconds was the record as we left. The trick, once one of the Extreme Wheelie guys got on, seemed to be give it tons of revs consistently.
Shoei and Shark where in attendance offering advice and cleaning services for your lid, Shark said they have been impressed by the sales of the Vision R they supplied us with for testing, also very kindly fitted a guy with some race pads to his lid so it fitted better, all part of the service!
On Yer Bike couldn’t have wished for a better day, the weather was hot, bikers turned up in their droves and the burgers went down as quickly as the grease they were cooked in.
