Jonathon Rea is hoping to continue his success this weekend following on from the Suzuka 8 hours where he managed to secure Victory for Honda alongside teammates Kosuke Akiyoshi and Tadayuki Okada.

Rea was the first British winner of the Suzuka 8 hours which took place in Japan. After the race Rea said. ”I’m so happy to get a win in such a huge race as the Suzuka 8-hours,I really appreciate the efforts of Kosuke Akiyoshi, Tady Okada, Honda and all the F.C.C. TSR team staff. Kosuke was riding very, very fast, and Tady gave me a lot of really useful advice. I want to thank them both so much.”

Last time out at Bruno Rea only completed two laps of race one and finished in twelfth position in race two. Rea is currently running in fifth position in the championship standings.

Friday’s practice session comprised of mixed weather conditions with both Wet and dry track time and Rea down in twelfth position. Qualifying practice resulted in Rea being eighteenth overall. Jonathon Rea said on twitter “ Tough day today at Silverstone but we have a clear direction to improve. Didn’t make the cut for Superpole yet so we need Q2 to be dry!”
