Sylvain Guintoli Back In SBK On Another Ducati

Sylvain Guintoli - Monza 2012

It was less than a week ago that Sylvain Guintoli was unceremoniously dumped by Team Effenbert Liberty Ducati and accused of ‘poor results’ despite being the top rider for them and securing their first ever win at Assen this year.

Well the Frenchman hasn’t sat around moping and has instead been busy getting himself another ride and Italian based PATA Racing team were only too happy to step in. It’s unknown at this stage whether Guintoli will race on the Ducati alongside current PATA rider Lorenzo Zanetti or if it’s a replacement.

Guintoli said on Twitter the he “will be back on the Ducati 1198 in Silverstone”. He went on to post a photo of his new helmet design with the message “the view from the yellow bikes in Silverstone!” a clear swipe at the Effenbert team.

We are thrilled Guintoli is back in SBK after the way he was treated by the Effenbert Liberty Team. No doubt he’ll be hoping to at least beat his old team mates at Silverstone although PATA’s best finish so far has been an eighth at Imola.
