The Italian BMW squad Supersonic Racing Team and its newly formed duo comprising Tommy Bridewell and Patric Muff is set for a triple header round 3 of the 2012 British Superbike Championship in Oulton park, the “Goodwood of the North”, one of the most picturesque race circuits in the UK, famous for its spectacular surroundings and rapidly changing gradients and blind crests.
Situated in Cheshire, England, Oulton park is considered one of the most challenging and thrilling circuits not only on the BSB calendar. It promises some high-quality racing and provides fantastic views of the action for spectators. The track is 4.332km long and was voted the best UK circuit by BSB fans in 2007.
Following the cancellation of the second race in Brands hatch due to safety concerns triggered by miserable weather conditions coupled with oil and fuel spillage, the BSB director Stuart Higgs has decided to re-schedule the race that will now take place during the Bank holiday weekend of 5/6/7 May. The line-up for the delayed race having already been determined will see Tommy and Patric starting from 8th and 25th position on the grid respectively. Monday will subsequently host both races of the third round according to usual schedule, subject to Sunday’s qualifying.
Both Supersonic riders are eager for another portion of championship points and, if weather permits, the weekend should me an amazing experience for all who decide to come and support their favourite riders and teams.
