Ahead of the Detroit Auto Show 2016, we have highlighted some of the most talked about vehicles from the best carmakers that are sure to turn heads.

Rob Alberts, executive director of the show and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association that hosts it, said Obama's visit is an "honor". Vice President Joe Biden visited Detroit and walked the show floor in 2014. Ford did not take any bailout funds.

In February 2012, the President endorsed the gas-electric Chevrolet Volt, saying he planned to buy the extended-range electric vehicle upon leaving office.
