ESPN's Dan Rafael reported the story on Friday.
ESPN reports the British boxer tested positive for benzoylecgonine - the main compound in cocaine - just one day before cancelling the match. The date of the alleged failed test was 22 of September.
"This is all confidential information so I can't discuss anything relating to UKAD allegations". When contacted by Press Association Sport, the spokesman said the Fury camp would not be making a statement.
Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has tested positive for cocaine, according to reports.
Fury, 28, had been scheduled for a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on october 29, but that fight was postponed indefinitely by Fury's camp. ESPN.com's Dan Rafael added that Fury's sample was collected September 22 and that results from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) are not yet complete, but the positive test will "likely" result in Fury being stripped of his titles.
Speaking earlier this week, Fury's trainer and uncle Peter Fury said the champion needed time away from boxing, and ruled out a clash with Klitschko this year.
Fury's drug testing controversy started a few months ago, also with UKAD, when it was revealed that a testing sample submitted several months prior to his shocking win over Klitschko last November - had high levels of nandrolone. This had already earned Tyson Fury threat of being stripped of his world champion title, because it was the second postponement of the duel in the year after shifting the fight originally scheduled for 9 July.
The sports network obtained a copy of the letter informing Fury of the test's results - and repercussions.
