Marvel's 'Iron Fist' receives March launch date on Netflix

Marvel fans can set a reminder to begin streaming "Iron Fist" when the series becomes available on Netflix starting March 17, 2017.

Netflix is continuing it's Marvel tradition, as they have announced the premiere date for Marvel's Iron Fist, the fourth Marvel live-action adventure series on Netflix!

The Iron Fist series is the last single character series to debut before Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all team up for The Defenders, which is expected to debut later in 2017. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in NY, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family's legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. Daredevil already spawned a spinoff series for The Punisher.

For anyone who isn't familiar with Iron Fist (i.e. almost everyone), we give a bit of background on the New York-based martial arts master in this story, when we covered the casting news. "Luke Cage" debuted this past September, followed by "Iron Fist" in the spring. The show's twitter page also released a still from the series, featuring Game of Thrones' Finn Jones about to take down a faceless goon with his fists.

Iron Fist follows the trials and tribulations of Billionaire Buddist Monk Danny Rand as he returns to NY and uses Kung Fu and the powers of the Iron Fist to fight corruption. In fact, there was a bigger Easter Egg about Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing near the end of Luke Cage than for Iron First himself.
