Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson swapped the Quadraphenia scooter he entered the Olympic Stadium on for Sunday night’s closing ceremony for a quintessentially English Triumph as the frontman started his Direct Access motorcycle training course on Tuesday morning.

Brit-winning Wilson, who is playing with fellow band members at the Triumph Live festival at Mallory Park on Saturday 1 September, arrived at the Leicestershire track to undergo four days of intensive training.
The distinctive voice behind hits including ‘I Predict a Riot’, ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Ruby’ has long been a motor cycle enthusiast and the test, which he takes on Friday, will allow him to join fellow band member and motorbike rider Whitey on two wheels on the UK’s roads.
