Support & Jobs

Stay On The Black started in 2009 and has since grown to the website you are now reading. Every day we receive increased amounts of news, reviews, photographs and more that we would like to bring you.

In order that we can keep doing this we need your help. The costs of running this website are ever increasing and yet our pockets are only so deep. The time required to run this website is ever increasing and yet there are only so many hours in the day.

This is where you come in good people of the Internet. Stay On The Black is, and always has been, a not-for-profit website run by bike enthusiasts such as yourself. We need more of you to help us out and, for the first time, we are also asking for help with the costs of running the website.

You are under no obligation what-so-ever to donate, but if every one of our regular readers donates just £1, or $1 or €1 – less than the price of a coffee in most cities - we can ensure that Stay On The Black keeps getting better and better.

Money will be used for hosting, updates to the site, relevant articles, sending members of the team to the tracks to bring you the best news we can and so much more.

We are also on the lookout for volunteers to make 2013 the best year yet for Stay On The Black.

Specifically we are looking for the following roles:

  • MotoGP Live Tweeter - We require someone to provide updates to our Twitter followers during Free Practice sessions, Qualifying and the Races of Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. You must have internet access (naturally) and access to a live visual feed of the sessions (preferably via a TV channel) and you need to be available for as many races as possible during the course of the season.
  • World Superbikes Live Tweeter - We require someone to provide updates to our Twitter followers during Free Practice sessions, Superpole and the Races of the World Superbike series. You must have internet access (naturally) and access to a live visual feed of the sessions (preferably via a TV channel) and you need to be available for as many races as possible during the course of the season.
  • British Superbikes Live Tweeter - We require someone to provide updates to our Twitter followers during Free Practice sessions, Qualifying and the Races of the British Superbike series. • MotoGP Reporter – Do you love MotoGP? Have a passion for the sport and a knowledge that you are dying to share with others? Then we want you to be our MotoGP Reporter. You will write reports on the Practice, Qualifying & Races across all three series as well as assimilating the countless press releases received over the weekends and producing a round-up from them. Any news, opinions (yours!), rumours or gossip should be quickly and efficiently written and published. No prior experience is required but you should have an excellent grasp of the English language including spelling and grammar.
  • World Superbike Reporter – Do you crave WSBK? Weekends incomplete without the roar of the Superbikes? Have a passion for the sport and a knowledge that you are dying to share with others? Then we want you to be our World Superbike Reporter. You will write reports on the Practice, Superpole & Races as well as assimilating the countless press releases received over the weekends and producing a round-up from them. Any news, opinions (yours!), rumours or gossip should be quickly and efficiently written and published. No prior experience is required but you should have an excellent grasp of the English language including spelling and grammar.
  • British Superbike Reporter – Have a need for the fast short circuits around the British Isles? Have a passion for the sport and a knowledge that you are dying to share with others? Then we want you to be our British Superbike Reporter. You will write reports on the Practice, Qualifying & Races as well as assimilating the countless press releases received over the weekends and producing a round-up from them. Any news, opinions (yours!), rumours or gossip should be quickly and efficiently written and published. No prior experience is required but you should have an excellent grasp of the English language including spelling and grammar.
  • Comedian – That’s right, Stay On The Black are looking for a comedian. Perhaps not a comedian as such but we’re looking for a funny man or woman with a passion for motorcycles. We want someone who can take the best of the week’s news and results and produce something opinionated, witty and sometimes just a little controversial that will have our readers howling with laughter one minute and commenting in anger the next.

If you’d like to join us and have an interest in any of the above please send an email with your contact details and any examples of existing writing/twittering you may have to: volunteer@stayontheblack.com.

Outside of the above we are always on the lookout for people to help out whether you are a photographer (in any country) a blogger at the moment writing about two-wheels (not just racing) or someone who fancies giving it a go, please do drop us a line on the email address above.
