Riders in the Birmingham region are gearing up for the third annual weekend of motorcycles, music, custom machines and more at the Big Brum Bash. The three-day event will take place at West Midlands Water Ski Centre, from Friday May 25-Sunday May 27. The celebration of all things Harley-Davidson® is sponsored by Stratstone Harley-Davidson Birmingham and organised by the Birmingham Chapter of the Harley Owners Group® (HOG®).
The fun kicks off at 7pm on Friday, with live bands, including Dukes of Jazz, Rockerbily 54, Nigel Adams Band and Gunn Runner. Saturday is an all-day affair, with a custom show, ride out, charity bring-and-buy sale of Harley-Davidson parts and merchandise, on-site bar, Chapter challenges and Chapter games. There will be more music from 4pm onwards, with six different bands, including headliners Devious. Sunday is all about getting together for breakfast before hitting the road for home. For the third year in a row, the entry price for the Big Brum Bash has been frozen at £25, which includes camping costs and entertainment.
David Kennedy, dealer principal at Birmingham Harley-Davidson, said: “The Big Brum Bash is a real highlight in the summer calendar for local riders. Whether you’re into your custom motorbikes, fancy a ride out in the sun, or are just looking forward to listening to some great live music with old friends, there’s something for everyone.
“We’ll be taking a selection of the latest Harley-Davidson® models along to the event, so provided you remember to pack your driving license – including paper counterpart – you’ll be able to take a test ride.”
Riders can book in to take a demo ride on the new range of Harley-Davidson® machines at any time – just drop into the dealership and decide which one you want to take for a spin. As an added incentive, anyone taking a test ride between now and June 30 will be entered into a prize draw to win the experience of a lifetime – a trip down America’s iconic Route 66 on a Harley-Davidson
