Sources say YSU is trying to chart a course for former ITT Tech students to transfer there, without losing everything they've done so far.
Students displaced by Tuesday's abrupt closure of ITT Technical Institute, including its Pittsburgh area campuses, are being invited to explore the feasibility of finishing their education at Community College of Allegheny County. The shutdown will affect 35,000 students across the country.
In Dallas, Richland College has scheduled several "information sessions" for former ITT Technical Institute students and other students who may have been considering attending ITT.
In recent years, ITT has increasingly been the subject of numerous state and federal investigations.
On Tuesday, officials with for-profit ITT announced the cessation of academic programs on its 130-plus nationwide locations, including those in Robinson and Frazier townships.
The school offers a series of eight-week classes, called Late Start, beginning October 12. Beaufort Community College offers a wide range of degree programs, as well as online and hybrid classes. We encourage all students to utilize the resources made available to them including how to receive grades and transcripts, articulation agreements, a list of schools near them offering similar programs of study, and other key contact information.
The first step is for current or recently enrolled students who may be eligible to have federal student loans released.
