Salah Abdeslam, the man thought to be the sole surviving member of the jihadist team that attacked Paris in November past year, arrived today for questioning at Paris's main court. "There you are. We don't have much else to tell you at the moment other than the judge is pursuing the pre-trial procedure, pursuing his questioning whether he answers or not, at the moment he doesn't wish to talk", said Abdeslam's French lawyer, Frank Berton.

Salah Abdeslam's lawyer said his client "exercised his right to silence" for the third time during today's court appearance in the French capital.

For months, Abdeslam was the most wanted fugitive in Europe until he was tracked down and arrested on March 18th in the Brussels neighbourhood of Molenbeek where he grew up.

His Brussels lawyer was present at Thursday's hearing in Paris.

A statement from the Salzburg prosecutor's office said the two are suspected of helping two other suspects who Austria extradited to France earlier this year through "logistics as well as through gathering information and arranging contacts". They also hope that Abdeslam would provide them with the modus operandi of the jihadists and give clues of the number of people involved in the attacks.

He kept silent at a hearing in May, and refused to attend a hearing in July.

Investigators have yet to pin down Abdeslam's exact role in the coordinated attacks on Paris bars, restaurants, a concert hall and the national stadium.

He was brought to France to face terror charges on April 27.
