Bills' offense confident after shutout win over Patriots

The Patriots are dealing with a loss for the first time this year, but they're also dealing with the biggest addition in the National Football League as Brady returns to his role atop the New England quarterback depth chart to lead a Patriots team that's already entrenched atop the AFC East with a month in the books, even after Sunday's disappointing loss to the Bills.

"I expect him to play", Ryan said. "I was ready for him". Karen Richardson is one of them. "I'm not going to forget about that". They get paid just like we do. The Bills tested Brissett with a variety of blitzes to get him uncomfortable in the pocket and throughout the game. "They (were) up 34-0 in the first quarter of games (this year) and they're like 77-0 if they're leading at halftime here".

"He's a third-string quarterback", Brown said.

"My sources inside the New England Patriot building said that Jacoby Brissett would be the quarterback", Ryan said. "It's a great win".

After dropping their first two games, the Bills looked like they were in danger of going 0-4 to start the year, with matchups with the Arizona Cardinals and Patriots ahead.

"He just beat Bruce Arians and Bill Belichick-led teams in back-to-back weeks".

"Alright, well obviously we didn't do much of anything well enough to win today, so we've just got to do a better job", said Belichick after the game.

The Patriots tried to run the football and get control of the game early, but the Bills did a good job against them on 3rd down and held them to 0-for-5 over the first two-quarters. Robert Alford's 30-yard interception return for a touchdown with 1:14 remaining clinched the win for the Falcons (3-1)'. Buffalo converted an NFL-low five passing first downs over the first two weeks of the season; over the past two weeks, they almost tripled that number to 14 first-half passing first downs. Dan Carpenter kicked three field goals, but the story was the Buffalo defense - and that skirmish. But, generally, the whole thing was classic Belichick. It didn't get any better. The Patriots fall to 3-1 and will be in Cleveland next week with Tom Brady back at the helm. Last season, Lewis was a revelation, totaling 622 yards and four touchdowns in seven games before tearing his ACL. Though both he and defensive end Rob Ninkovich - whose four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substance ended Monday - were allowed to be back, it's unclear when the team must make room on its 53-man roster to accommodate their returns. He is eligible to practice today, his first permitted team activity since September 4.

Now that we have a good idea of how the Bills' have been doing thus far from a fantasy perspective, let's see how they did in their matchup with the Patriots. New England LB Dont'a Hightower returned after being out since suffering a knee injury in the opener.

Matt Jones rushed for 117 yards and a score as Washington (2-2) picked up its first home win after two losses. Last season, the Bills failed to record more than two sacks in one game. CB Ronald Darby (hamstring) also returned, while WR Greg Salas (groin) missed his second straight game. "It's not like it's their first time playing with (Brissett)". He dressed September 25 but did not play.
