If you were looking forward to seeing Donald Trump on Stephen Colbert's show again before the election on November 8, don't hold your breath-the talk show host claims he's won't be returning because he's a "coward" and a "chicken".
Earlier in his monologue, Colbert played a clip of Trump telling his followers to go out, vote, and then stick around to monitor their polling booths, because, said the candidate, "I hear too many stories about certain areas [and] we can't lose an election because of you know what I'm talking about".
However, Cobert and his late show staff located a paper willing to endorse Trump.
A multi-talented and respected host, writer, producer, satirist and comedian, Colbert is well-known for his previous late night show, "The Colbert Report", which concluded on Friday, Dec. 18, 2014.
"USA Today for God's sake". Colbert wanted to clarify things, however: "He's the real tiger in bed: he's orange, he's got a lot of hair, and every day he refuses to come on this show, he proves he's a huge p***y". "The cartoon page masquerading as a newspaper".
Us Weekly will also be live-streaming and blogging the political event, which comes after presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton sounded off against each other in the first 2016 presidential debate last week. "There isn't really a bifurcation".
Carter, a former New York Times reporter, asked Colbert if he thinks that Trump will make a follow-up visit to the Late Show after his interview with Colbert in September of 2015. Colbert quipped at the possibility, "I assume "Junkjigglers" was not available".
